The Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM) provides advice to UK governments and independent scrutiny regarding the long-term management of radioactive waste. Its 12 members are experts in different aspects of radioactive waste management. Its work is vital to the UK’s nuclear management strategy and protects communities. It was established in 2003. It meets as required to discuss its work programme and formulate advice and is organisationally divided into six subgroups.
